Recognition runs on our own server with an open speech model (Whisper base); the audio is never sent to a third-party API. The language is detected automatically. Expect clean speech to come out right and fast talk, music beds, accents and overlapping voices to need a read-through: this is a transcript, not a subtitle studio.

Frequently asked questions
How accurate is it?
Clear speech close to the microphone comes out nearly word for word. Fast talk, strong accents, music under the voice and several people at once lose accuracy, and names and numbers are worth checking.
Which languages work?
The model recognises dozens of languages and picks the right one on its own; English is the strongest, the other site languages work well. It does not translate.
Why 3 minutes?
Recognition runs on the CPU of a small server, one clip at a time, and a 3-minute clip already takes around half a minute. Trim a longer video first and transcribe the part you need.
What is in the SRT?
Numbered phrases with start and end times in the standard SubRip format, one phrase per block. Players and caption editors open it directly.
Can it transcribe a TikTok or YouTube link?
No. This page works with a file you already have. Save the video first, then upload it here.
How long do you keep my file?
The upload and the extracted audio are deleted as soon as the text is ready; the TXT and SRT go about a minute after you download them, or after 15 minutes if you do not.
