Fresh Export
Make new files out of your own video or photo: strip the metadata, and optionally shave a couple of pixels, turn the frame a fraction of a degree, nudge the colour, the speed or the sound.
This makes a new file. It does not remove a logo from the picture and it does not hide a video from platforms.
Your file is ready
By using ReelNab you agree to the Terms. Download only content you have the right to use.
Every editor and phone camera writes hidden information into a file: the app that made it, the date and time, a title or comment field, sometimes a location and a cover image. Fresh Export removes all of that from the container and hands back the same video without the extra data.
On top of that there are three optional changes to the picture itself — a two to four pixel crop on each side, a speed change of one or two percent, and a light layer of grain. Each of them re-encodes the video, which takes longer and compresses the picture a second time, so they are off until you turn them on. What comes back is a new file. It is not a new video, and nothing here removes a logo that is part of the picture.
It takes photos as well as video. A JPG, PNG or WEBP goes through the same options, and when all you want is the tags gone, the picture is carried over byte for byte — the EXIF block, the camera name, the date and any GPS coordinates are cut out of the file and the image itself is left exactly as it was. And whether it is a clip or a still, you can ask for up to ten copies at once: every option you leave on Random is drawn again for each one, and they come back together in a zip.
How to make a fresh export
- 1
Upload your video
Drop an MP4, MOV or WEBM into the box above, or tap it to pick a file from your phone or computer.
- 2
Pick what to change
Stripping metadata is on by default and copies the streams as they are. Tick micro-crop, a speed step or grain if you want the picture re-encoded as well.
- 3
Download the new file
Save the result. Your upload is deleted from our server as soon as the new file is ready.
Why use ReelNab
All container tags removed
Title, comment, description, encoder, creation time, handler names, location and custom tags are stripped.
Embedded cover removed
Poster frames and cover art attached by editors and converters are dropped, along with chapters.
Metadata only is a copy
With no other option ticked, video and audio are copied untouched — same quality, ready in seconds.
Micro-crop without bars
Two to four pixels come off each side. It only ever cuts, so the frame stays centred and no black edge can appear.
Speed and grain, kept subtle
0.98× or 1.02× with the pitch left alone, and a grain you have to look for. Neither is meant to be noticed.
Private
Files are processed in a temp folder with a random name and deleted within minutes. Files up to 1 GB.
Photos too
JPG, PNG and WEBP take the same options. Tags only means the picture is copied byte for byte, so nothing is re-saved and nothing is lost.
Up to ten at once
Ask for several copies and each one draws its own numbers, so they are different files rather than duplicates. They arrive in a single zip.
Frequently asked questions
Does this remove a watermark?
No. A watermark or logo burnt into the picture is made of the same pixels as the rest of the frame, and nothing on this page can separate them. Metadata is text around the video; a logo is the video.
Will TikTok or YouTube treat it as a new video?
Not guaranteed. You get a new file — different bytes, different tags, and with the picture options on, a fresh encode. What any platform does with that is its own decision and it is not something we can promise. A new file is not an invisible one.
What does micro-crop do?
It cuts two to four pixels off every side of the frame, so the output is a handful of pixels smaller than the source. Because it only ever cuts, the picture stays centred and no black bars are added. It forces a re-encode.
Which options re-encode the video?
Anything that touches the picture: the micro-crop, the rotation, the colour nudge, grain, the mirror, the speed change and the frame rate, each on their own. Stripping metadata does not, and neither does changing only the volume or the pitch — there the picture is copied untouched and only the sound is re-encoded.
Does the mirror change anything else?
No. It flips the frame left to right and nothing more, but it is the one option here you will actually see: text in the picture reads backwards afterwards, and a face is no longer the way round you filmed it.
Why is there a length limit on the picture options?
Re-encoding is slow. Stripping metadata works on files up to an hour, but with any picture option ticked the clip has to be ten minutes or shorter so one long job cannot hold up everyone else.
Does the speed change make voices sound odd?
No. The audio is retimed at the same pitch, and one or two percent is far too small to hear anyway.
Which formats are supported?
MP4, MOV and WEBM. Metadata-only keeps WEBM as WEBM and turns MOV into standard MP4; any picture option always produces an MP4.
How long do you keep my file?
The upload is deleted as soon as the new file is ready, and the result is removed about a minute after you download it, or after 15 minutes if you do not.
What does it remove from a photo?
The EXIF block and everything in it: the camera make and model, the software that saved the file, the date and time, the orientation and any GPS coordinates, plus text chunks and colour profiles left by editors. With nothing else ticked, the image data is copied across untouched, so the photo you get back is the same photo.
What do several copies give me?
Ten files instead of one, and every option you left on Random is drawn separately for each. One copy might lose three pixels a side and sit at 0.4 degrees, the next two pixels and 0.8. They download together as a zip. It is a batch of different files — what any platform makes of them is still its own decision.
